Joel Cranshaw is the founder of Clearpoint Counsel and a general counsel with 20 years experience working with rganisations in Australia, the United Kingdom and around the globe. He became interested in looking at alternatives to the traditional model of providing legal services after a career in house with technology, recruitment and investment banking businesses.

In 2006 he launched a management consultancy in the UK that acted for technology start-ups, foreign subsidiaries and listed companies as their legal and financial advisors. On his return to Melbourne in 2012 he set up Clearpoint in Australia through which he continues to explore innovation in the legal and impact investment market.  Joel continues to work closely with early stage start-ups, social enterprises, fast growing technology companies and a leading manufacturing and distribution business.  He is passionate about making legal advice more affordable, accessible and efficient for business and is working on a number of initiatives to achieve this goal.
