Intro to Tech for PreSchoolers @ Watergardens

Join Western BACE for fun, engaging, and low-pressure activities geared towards both kids and parents who want to learn and play with interesting technologies together. No prior experience is required and all the equipment needed is provided at the Digital BACE popup in the Atrium at Watergardens Town Centre. Kids aged 3 to 6 years old will be introduced to technology and problem solving through play.

Ozobots

Ozobots are miniature line following robots which can sense colours and use that to understand instructions and make decisions.  The Ozobots follow lines on paper or digital screens, and detect codes based on colour. They can be programmed using pen, paper and color codes or using block based coding. Kids will learn how line following robots work and use pen, paper and colour code stickers to control the Ozobot.  They will have an opportunity to get creative, designing mazes, tracks and stories for the Ozobot.

Code-a-pillar

A robot that teaches the basics of computer programming through arrangement of segments blocks. Kids will have the opportunity to arrange blocks in different sequences and the code-a-pillar will move forward, turn left or right.

Cubetto

A robot that teaches the basics of computer programming through screenless hands on play. Using blocks and a control board, kids will have the opportunity to control the movements of the Cubetto robot.
